The return of slow reading

Slow reading is making a quiet comeback. In a world that rewards speed, a growing number of readers are choosing to linger over a single article, underline the phrases that strike them and jot down questions in the margins.

The habit may seem old-fashioned, but researchers argue that it sharpens comprehension and helps new vocabulary stick. Those who linger, it seems, remember more of what they read.

① 点黄色或绿色划线,看批注 ② 点蓝色虚线单词,看释义 ③ 选中任意文字,试试高亮或下划线

💬 = 这句有批注 · 蓝色虚线 = 查过的词,同一个词在这篇文章里再出现时会自动标出(第二段的 linger 就是自动标的)
